4 tips on how to make delicious instant coffee!

Part 1, How to make delicious instant coffee

What you need to prepare
  • Instant coffee
  • Hot water
  • Two pots (or two cups)

First, put coffee in one pot. You can use any amount of coffee you like.

Pour hot water into the pot and dissolve the coffee. You can also mix it with a spoon.

From here...

  1. Transfer the coffee from the pot to the empty pot (or cup).

Then transfer the coffee back to the original pot (or cup)...

Repeat transferring the coffee 2-3 times.

  2. During this time, remove any bubbles that rise to the surface.

Scoop them up with a tea strainer or spoon.

  3. Remove the bubbles that appear every time you transfer the coffee...

Do this 2-3 times. That's all you need

This method was discovered and invented by Oyama Shinto, the master of Shinto Coffee Shop in Japan.

According to Oyama Shinto...

"It's not based on any scientific evidence, but I discovered it while I was training. I wanted to make instant coffee taste good, so I discovered it while I was trying various things. I think the bubbles that appear when you transfer it to a pot are "scum". If you throw them away, the unpleasant taste will disappear and the taste will become sharper."

That's what he said.

I tried it myself...It definitely changes to a refreshing taste.

It's easy to do, so you won't fail, I think.

The coffee will cool down to a certain extent while transferring it to the pot, so it's best to work quickly.

I think this is a recommended method to easily make instant coffee taste good.

Part 2, How to make delicious instant coffee

It's very simple lol

If you dissolve the powder in water and then add hot water,

the instant coffee will taste like real coffee...

That's it! (lol)

But you should try it even if you think you'll be fooled. It really tastes good!

I tried brewing it this way too, and I was surprised! It's delicious. The aroma is different too!

The specific method is...

All you need is one cup

  • One heaping teaspoon of instant coffee
  • Teaspoon of water... One scoop
  • Boiling water... 140cc
  1. How to make it...
  2. Put instant coffee and water into a coffee cup
  3. Mix with a spoon until there are no lumps
  4. The flavor is decided at this stage, so be sure to do your best
  5. Pour in boiling water and it's done

Just this will make the aroma and flavor completely different from usual, it's amazing!

The key is to dissolve it well in "cold water" first.

In fact, this method of brewing was introduced on the information program "Tameshi Gatten" by NHK, a Japanese national broadcasting station.

According to Gatten, coffee powder contains starch, Apparently, if you brew it with boiling water, the starch on the surface of the coffee powder will harden and form lumps, resulting in a powdery texture.

To avoid this, first dissolve it well in water, then dissolve it smoothly in hot water!

This seems to be the trick. When I actually tried it, coffee brewed from water had a better taste and aroma than coffee brewed directly with boiling water.

Regular instant coffee tastes better just by dissolving it in water and then brewing it, so I thought it would be worth a try.

Part 3, How to brew delicious instant coffee

        Dry roast instant coffee!!

This is starting to sound a bit nerdy lol

        The method is

If you dry roast instant coffee in a non-stick frying pan such as Teflon, it will become even more fragrant!

It's enough to dry roast it until it changes color a little.

Be careful not to over-roast it or dry roast only a small amount, as it can burn easily.

If you use this method of dry roasting + dissolving it in water...

it will be quite delicious considering it's instant!

Part 4, How to make delicious instant coffee

However, there is an even easier method...
        それは、

        1. Put a heaping teaspoon of instant coffee in a cup
        2. Add an appropriate amount of water
        3. Heat in the microwave for 2 minutes! Heat to a temperature of around 70℃

Which is the ideal temperature for drinking with just this, the richness, sourness, and bitterness will increase overall and the taste will become richer.

Such an easy method...but sigh, it couldn't beat the microwave (lol)

How about this as a finishing blow?
